CLIMATE CHANGE 2021

Intro

Climate change

ge is the biggest challenge of our lifetime.Centuries of pollution And g

deforestation

Has led to global warming, rising seas and a plethora of natural disasters . what is it and how  can we fix it?

One  measurable aspect of climate change is global warming.

Global warming  The increase in Earth's average surface temperature due to rising levels of greenhouse gases.Global warming refers to surface temperature increases, while climate change includes global warming and everything else that increasing greenhouse gas amounts will affect.Increased heat, drought and insect outbreaks, all linked to climate change, have increased wildfires. Declining water supplies, reduced agricultural yields, health impacts in cities due to heat, and flooding and erosion in coastal areas are additional concern

Deforestation is

When forests are culled less oxygen is produced as less  trees exist

And less carbon dioxide co2 is absorbed. This excess  co2 is then released into the atmosphere contributing to the greenhouse effect.

A third factor contributing to climate change is agriculture. Agriculture is farming with animals. Cows produce a lot of methane through farting and belching which is a greenhouse gas. Agriculture requires huge amounts of land which could be used for forests/rainforests and as habitats for native species. Another damaging part of agriculture is the damage done to local waterways (E.g. rivers and streams) through the fecal matter and urine of those animals. The water gets polluted and fish who live there die. In New Zealand, there are 26.6 million sheep and 10.1 million cattle. If people ate less meat, we wouldn’t need so much land for agriculture and we wouldn’t be damaging local waterways as well.

GLOBAL WARMING IS CAUSING  RISING SEA LEVELS THROUGH THE MELTING OF THE ARCTIC AND ANTARCTICA.THE LARGEST CONCENTRATION OF ICE ON

EARTH IS IN THE ARCTIC AND ANTARCTICA. THESE PLACES HAVE GLACIERS AND ICE SHEETS WHICH HOLD VAST AMOUNTS OF WATER. ICE SHEETS ARE MASSIVE FLAT PLATFORMS  THAT MOVE ON ICE ,GLACIERS FORM OVER LAND.

KIRIBATI CLIMATE CHANGE REFUGEES LOW LYING IN THERE HOUSES BECAUSE OF THE RISING THE SEA LEVELS THEY CAN’T SURVIVE THE SEA LEVELS BECAUSE ITS TO HIGH AND THERE COUNTRY IS SURROUNDED BY  WATER. THERE ARE MANY ACTIONS THAT CAN BE. TAKEN TO IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE.

There are many actions that can be taken to reduce the impact of climate change . Some of these can be done by individual people such as not using plastic bags putting your rubbish in the bin and recycling any plastics you use. Actions that every community should take is to have lots of rubbish in the bins available. Plant lots of trees and native bushland. Use wind farms and solar panels where you can. At a national level actions new zealand can take or planting

Soft ball

Softball tournament was a blast. It was the 4th time i've been to a tournament the first people we v.s was Pt england. Pt england where really good and when i say real good i mean really good. Their pitcher was really on the bad side but there hitters were gone like the wind like when I was looking at the kid who was going to hit it he hit really far it went across the field.

Then the second team we faced was glenbrae. Glenbraes Hitters and pitchers were pros.

There were two people that were the same, there were twins they hit really far. I think we came third place because we wacked pretty far.Well that was the best moment of my life because i felt the love from everyone there.
